Field Battles:

Field battles will be the opening battles in a war. These battles will determine if the war continues or not. If the attacking team loses the opening field battle the war will end, but if they win the initial field battle they will move on to the siege battle. Further between each siege the defending factions have a chance to launch a counter offensive which will result in a field battle for them to advance to a siege of the lands they lost.

Features:

  • Defenders will be able to dig trench lines before battle (can not be more than 2 blocks deep).
  • Defenders will be able to build dirt barricades (not over 3 blocks tall).
  • Attackers will be given 15 minutes to engage the enemy, if they do not engage within this time they will forfeit and be forced to retreat (engage can be seen as exchange of archer fire or full on melee).

Siege Battles:

Siege battles will be battles that take place after the initial field battle and after defensive pushes are defeated. The loss of a siege will not end wars, but they must fight another field battle if they lose a siege to the defending faction. If the defenders do not launch a counter offensive after the attackers lose the siege the first time the attacking faction must wait a week before initiating another battle.

Features:

  • The attacking faction will be allowed 5 orc bombs/tnt.
  • The attacking faction will be allowed no more than 30 dirt blocks to create cover with.
  • The attacking faction can only break blocks with their hands and only overhanging blocks at that.
  • If a faction has lost a field battle and a siege battle is then initiated the faction under siege may not build further fortresses in the province.
  • If a tower is present as the main defensive feature to a build the fort must have floors every 15 blocks and if the tower is over 50 blocks the tower must have stairs.
